  4. San Fran, CA
  5. Denver, CO
  6. Boston, MA

I cant help but be a little snarky in their picture selection… but my big amazement was that 5 out of the top ten are Pacific states!!!!  Wahoo Pacific!!!!

Putting my snarky streak to the side, a few of the trainers said good-bye to a super awesome trainer this morning.  Hard Ass Auste’ (that’s what I call her when she’s not listening) is the trainer that watches silently while you load your bar.  Once you step back, nod your head in approval of your self selected weight, she creeps up behind you and whispers, “10 more pounds, love”.

&*&%!  Even though I’ve rolled my eyes, pouted while I loaded those last ten pounds, cussed her out up and down (in the privacy of my head)- I’m glad she does it.  She’s the trainer that believes in her athletes-even if the athlete doesn’t believe in them selves.  Thats why we go to the gym- to get better.  Tony Horton isn’t going to pop out of the TV to convince you that you can do two more reps- but a crossfit trainer will.  Auste’ will.

Even though the “Hard Ass” is leaving, the trainers she leaves behind will continue to push their athletes.  Keiko just finished competing as an individual at Regionals.  Keiko is in a class of her own.  It BLOWS my mind to how she does it: training for regionals, training athletes full-time, being a sexy wife, and an amazing mother– all with a beautiful smile!!  This is a prime example of the kick ass training we have, right here in Okinawa!

I know, I know… I’m super partial to the ladies!  But there’s another trainer who has left our little island: Darin.

His training, is well…. Passionate!!!

Reebok Crossfit Asia is different from most boxed in the states.  The trainers and the athletes come and go.  These trainers may have “moved on”, but their passion, technique and friendship will remain.  See you soon friends.
